The Mysterious Peace Garden

The Mystery of the Peace Garden
-- a Story of Hopes & Dreams

A long long time ago an Ancient Tribe of Children had hopes and dreams and wondered what to do to make their hopes and dreams grow.  They noticed how flowers grow from seeds planted in the earth, so they put their hopes and dreams on paper with words and pictures, rolled them up as tight scrolls and put these special messages with sparkling glitter into bottles. They sealed the bottles tight and buried them in the earth with flower seeds.

"Grow!" they said.  Over the ground they created a symbol that helped them remember their hopes and dreams while spring blossomed.  It was a symbol of peace.  Seasons passed.  THEN..... group of Ethical Explorers heard the story of the ancient child tribe and decided to go on a treasure hunt.  With forks and spoons and shovels they dug for the buried treasure of hopes and dreams. They dug and they dug, fancying themselves as scientists in search of history. For hours they worked together, sharing shovels, digging deep, befriending worms, and becoming more and more curious about the treasure they sought. They found rocks and even pieces of glass.  No bottles. No pictures. But what had happened to the bottled hopes and dreams of the ancient tribe of Children?

It is forever a mystery.  Some say they grew into flowers. Some say they sunk deeper all the way through the earth to the other side.  Some say the story of the bottles is just a myth.  Others insist they remember the ancient tribe.  Some even say they ARE the ancient tribe! Some say they REMEMBER burying the bottles just last spring! One thing is for certain, the Ethical Explorers, digging for hopes puts us in touch with ever more hopes and dreams to grow! Can we dig into our own hearts and minds to unearth these dreams and hopes, nurture them, grow them and activate them?
